NotiLog not saving on Xiaomi / Redmi

On Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco phones, battery management stops NotiLog from running in the background, so notifications stop being saved. Set battery usage to No restrictions, enable Autostart, and lock the app in recent apps. Capture resumes immediately and survives a reboot.

1. Disable battery optimization

  1. Open Settings → Apps → Manage apps → NotiLog.
  2. Tap Battery saver → choose No restrictions.
  3. Or use the shortcut inside NotiLog: Settings → Battery Optimization → Open battery settings.

2. Lock the app in recent apps

Open the recent apps view, then tap the lock icon on the NotiLog card. This stops it from being closed when you tap "Clear all".

3. Enable Autostart

4. Verify with a test notification

  1. In NotiLog open Settings → Battery Optimization or Help → Verify Capture.
  2. Type a message and tap Send test notification.
  3. It should appear on Home within moments.

Checking these settings lets NotiLog keep capturing continuously, even after a reboot. Menu names vary by phone — search your Settings for "auto-start" or "background activity" if the paths differ.

Questions

Why does it stop saving on Xiaomi / Redmi / Poco?

MIUI and HyperOS stop background apps to save power. A stopped app cannot receive notifications, so nothing is recorded until it reopens.

How do I set No restrictions?

Settings → Apps → Manage apps → NotiLog → Battery saver → No restrictions. Or use the shortcut in NotiLog → Settings → Battery Optimization.

Where is Autostart?

Settings → Apps → Manage apps → NotiLog → Autostart ON.

Why lock it in recents?

Clear all closes background apps; the lock keeps NotiLog running.

Will this drain my battery?

Impact is small — the listener only reacts to notifications the system already delivered. It does not poll or wake the screen.
