On Samsung, notifications stop being saved when One UI puts NotiLog to sleep. The fix is four settings: set battery usage to Unrestricted, add NotiLog to Never sleeping apps, allow background activity, and keep it open in recent apps. Then verify with a test notification.
This overrides Samsung's "Sleeping apps" and "Deep sleeping apps" lists, which are the usual reason a logger silently stops working.
Open the recent apps view, tap the NotiLog icon above its card and choose Keep open. Otherwise Clear all closes the app and capture stops until you reopen it.
Settings → Device care → Auto restart can restart the phone overnight and reset app state. Turn it off, or accept that NotiLog will need a moment to resume capturing after the restart.
Still nothing? Confirm Notification Access is still granted — Settings → Notifications → Advanced settings → Special access → Notification access. See the access guide.
A notification listener can only record a notification while it is running. One UI's battery management suspends background apps that are not "used often", and a logger is by definition idle most of the time — so Samsung's heuristics target exactly this kind of app. The settings above exempt NotiLog from that policy.
One UI puts unused apps to sleep. A sleeping app cannot receive notifications, so nothing is recorded until it wakes.
Settings → Battery → Background usage limits → Never sleeping apps → + → NotiLog.
Barely. The listener reacts to notifications the system already delivered; it does not poll or keep the screen awake.
Recommended. Recents → NotiLog icon → Keep open, so Clear all does not close it.
Settings → Battery Optimization → Send test notification, then check Home.
